Wooly Chaps is a variation of Remington’s most celebrated sculpture, The Broncho Buster. The distinction lies in the cowboy’s textured “wooly chaps,” adding rugged dimension and intensified movement to the composition. The sweeping curves of the bronco contrast against the sharp, angular tension of the rider, creating a dramatic and flowing silhouette that commands attention from every angle.
The Craftsmanship
Handcrafted using the traditional lost-wax casting process, this sculpture is formed from solid bronze and finished with a rich, hand-applied patina. Each piece is individually detailed and hand-finished, producing natural variations in tone and character—no two are exactly alike.
The artist’s signature is cast into the bronze. The sculpture is mounted on a polished black marble base with an etched brass plate, providing a refined and substantial foundation worthy of its historic design.
