Remington masterfully freezes the raw intensity of the American frontier in a composition that feels alive from every angle.

Completed in late 1909, Stampede was Remington’s final sculpture. The artist passed away before the first cast was produced, making this work especially significant within his legacy. The finishing touches to the original model were completed by his friend, the sculptor Sally Farnham.
